Band Trouble

Ugh. Im in a band, and today was really hard because we just kicked out our singer. She was just too damn boring. And the only other people who have heard me sing are my band mates. They think I can sing really good and they want me to sing for our band!! I am honored, but at the same time I am about to piss my pants. I'm afraid what people will think of me, but in a way I know that I am a good singer. I'm also worried about what we are going to do without me playing the guitar with them for a while until I get used to singing and playing at the same time. Playing and singing at the same time is not exactly an easy task to master. It kind of reminds me of hopping on one foot while you try to pat your head and rub your stomach at the same time.
We are also going to have to change the style of music in which we play, because I have a very different range than our old singer had. In ways I have more range than she had. I was thinking about giving up on playing the guitar for a while and just focus on singing, because being a lead singer and all you have to have alot of stage presence. I want to get people going and make it easier for people to get into our music. I hope to follow in the footsteps ot Haley Williams or Lacey Mosely. Haha. I want to try and figure out Decode by Paramore, so our band can try it. I am actually excited about this new responsibility. I am going to have lots of fun on stage now. Hopefully this will help me gain more confidence too.

When you're in a band-
you have to try not to think about the stupid stuff people might think. If others like your voice, then use it!
And I know playing guitar and singing at the same time isn't easy.

But, practice makes perfect.

Sorry if I popped up by random. >_>
